What does a South Atlantic League game have to do with our Valley?

When it involves the West Virginia Power playing their pre-season exhibition game against our West Virginia Tech Golden Bear! If you are new to the site I will connect the dots for you. We are involved with the Waynesboro Generals and both our Head Coach (Andy Challot) and Director of Baseball Operations (Lawrence Nesselrodt) work at Tech.

Ness is the head coach and Andy is his assistant and tonight their kids will make the short drive up I-77 to Appalachian Power Park to play the Class A Power. I would have to think that for those of the Golden Bear players that baseball careers will end after college that this will be an experience to remember.

Playing in the big city under the lights against minor league baseball players… First pitch will be at 7:05 P.M.

Where are the keys to the company jet when you need them ?

Best of luck to the Golden Bears!

Yahoo weather says 37 and light snow- could mean no Tuesday Night Baseball. If that is the case the team returns home for the 1ST time in a month on Friday with a double header at 1:00 P.M. against the University of the Cumberlands. The team stands at 11-16 overall,  7-7 in conference and 4-3 at home with 5 double headers remaining.
