On our way home from Fort Defiance, we made our way to Rebel Park to check in on the Stonewall Jackson-Clark County JV baseball action. We ran into our good friend Bruce Alger and had a nice visit with him, as well.
Check out these pictures from the game.
Get excited, folks! Under 70 days until the beginning of the VBL season!
…I’m just keeping them warm for the Rebel season ticket holders.
We saw a familiar face. Apparently he was a little tuckered out after a rock climbing excursion the day before.
The crowd watches anxiously. When we arrived, the score was 2-0.
The catcher makes a heroic dive for my favorite out of the portion of the game we got to see.
A piece of the action. Look closely and you can see the ball.
A peek into the Stonewall Jackson dugout.
Sweet hit by Clark County’s number 14.
Yowza. The ball is moving a little too quickly for the Powershot to handle…
Is it called a huddle in baseball? Or something more macho like a “team meeting”?
One of my favorite shots of young Mr. Alger at the plate – he bunted it beautifully to get a runner from first to third. Nice!
