Page County v. East Rock, Game 3, Take 2

Head to Ralph Dean Park in Luray at 6:30PM to see who comes out on top as the Shenandoah District Regular Season Champion and snags that all too important 1 seed in the district tournament that begins Friday. The two teams tried to face-off yesterday evening at William Monroe High School but mother nature said it just wasn’t in the cards. As we type this, the sun is shining brightly over Luray and we’re thinking our senior Dakota will feel right at home in a park with her surname – go Lady Panthers!

Dedication Celebration: The Group Photo

It was a night we will not soon forget. We hope you won’t, either. Thank you so much to everyone who came out and made the Dedication Celebration everything we could’ve dreamed it would be and more. Congratulations, again, to Coach Knight and to all the generations of softball playing Lady Panthers who now have a field they can be proud to call home.

Congrats on Win #800 for Skipper Alan Knight !

On March 29th,2012 the Page County Lady Panthers edged their counterparts from Luray in a Shenandoah District Softball contest.The contest allowed Head Coach Alan Knight to claim his 800th victory during his 31 years at PCHS. The current team has since added 9 more victories to the total and now stand at 15-0 heading into a road game tomorrow at Buffalo Gap.

             Only 91 more wins until 900 ?

Wednesday May 2ND – Welcome to Panther Softball @ Coach Alan Knight Field !

In less than one week we will be able to play a small part in creating a memory that will last a life time. Our dear friend Alan Knight has been working the sidelines and base paths at Page County High School for over 3 decades and next Wednesday there will be a ceremony that will rename the softball complex in his honor.

East Rockingham and Page County enter today’s contest with perfect 6-0 marks as the 2012 Shenandoah District regular season reaches the half way mark.

                       The two remaining unbeaten will square off at 5:30 today with the contest taking place at Lady Panther Softball Park. Here is a look at the  current district standings.
